Dillon Gee Pitches Great

Today against Atlanta Dillon Gee pitched wonderfully for six innings.  Striking out seven Braves while only delivering 65 pitches.  A great outing all around.  This after allowing 11 runs in his last two Grapefruit League starts.  Obviously a much needed confidence booster right before the start of the season.

The bullpen mates did not fare as well – Carson allowed two homeruns in 1/3 of an inning while Greg Burke allowed three hits, a walk and two earned runs during the 9th.  But the Mets still came out on top 7-4 in Disney.

Collin Cowgill had a productive day, going 2-2 with a walk two RBIs and two runs – including a homerun off Mike Minor.  (Andrew Brown and Jamie Hoffman also homered off Minor)
